Now with a new financing structure for further growth

Anyone who has recognised decarbonisation as a long-term trend knows that 1/3 of global CO2 emissions are attributable to the building sector. This is more than the entire transport sector (car, plane, ship, rail) combined. Within the building sector, 75% of the emissions do not occur in the construction of the buildings or the production of bricks and cement, but in the ongoing operation and are largely attributable to the heating and cooling of buildings in operation. In Germany, which already has a very saturated real estate stock, 90% of all buildings that currently exist in 2023 will still exist in 2050 and will therefore inevitably have to undergo an “upgrade” in order to be able to realise the “Gebäudewende”.

With its 360° expertise in technical building service (TBS), the Builtech Group is not only right at the centre of this long-term growth market, but also the fastest-growing buy-and-build platform in Germany. Both organically (~10% p.a.) and inorganically, the group has now grown since 2018 to an annual total output of more than €350m with stable margins.

In order to drive this growth forward in the long term, an important milestone was reached this year. Under the leadership of Kreissparkasse Heilbronn and a consortium of savings banks as well as other financing partners, the entire financing of the group was centralised and thus optimally aligned with the further growth of the group. Due to the great success in the implementation of succession solutions, the strengthening of the companies through dedicated personnel recruitment and development concepts and the integration towards a holistic provider of TBS services, the banks have also provided Builtech with additional funds (“hunting line”) in the high double-digit million range for further acquisitions.
